My BMW story:

Welcome to the BMW MOA Family!
CAROLINE -OREGON
When I met my husband over 40 years ago, he was quite impressed that I knew how to ride his Can Am 175 by saying “Is that 1 down and 4 up?” I did have brothers, after all. Leap ahead 30 years: Not wanting to be left out of the excitement to ride alongside my 16-year-old son, I ventured in to the local BMW Motorrad Dealer Hansen’s and threw my leg over a 2009 BMW f650GS and I was hooked!
My current bike is a 2017 BMW f700GS that I have riden 18,000 plus miles despite having to battle and conquer breast cancer. #survivor
I have toured 10 Western states on three different bikes and am now planning our next adventure: Touring the country with our two BMW GS’s loaded in our toy hauler RV. Yes, I talked that spouse of mine into purchasing his 2019 BMW R1250GS… and he thanks me every ride!
It is with pride that I share my story to encourage women riders as there is no finer way to “see the world” than with handle bars in your hands.
2022 Riding the Tail of the Dragon in Tennessee on my BMW F700 GS.
1986 - Racing Sand Lake in Tillamook, Oregon on my Yamaha YZ 125.
A jumping contest in Christmas Valley, Oregon. Guess who won? I think I made it 35’ in the air with a distance of 60 feet! 😅
Jumping, racing, and playing in the dunes on the various 3 wheelers… some of the best times we ever had. (With or without helmets. 🤣)
Long time photographer of her sons….
Left to Right: 2012: Team Oregon with son Duncan. 2014: Duncan’s graduation photo.
2015: Mother’s weekend at OSU - we decide to ride to the coast instead of stay at the college for “Mom’s Weekend.”
