Top Accessories for your BMW F750 GS

New Bike Day: April 1st, 2025 - Caroline brought home her “new” 2023 BMW F750 GS in Triple Black!

New Motorcycle Day: 2023 BMW F750 GS in Triple Black. 🤣

Caroline here writing about all things BMW and why I like this motorbike. It is pretty obvious… I have really enjoyed this motorcycle.

Happily, this is the 4th BMW that I have owned and for good reason. The style and handling are the two main reasons I own this BMW. First off, I have found that a sitting up in the tall position is the most comfortable for me. I have never really enjoyed the feet forward or lounging back position for riding. Being able to stand in the aggressive “elbows up - standing on the pegs” motocross riding position as it is something I have been doing since I learned to ride my brother’s 1975 Honda XR 75 at the age of 12. Over the years the Adventure Motorcycles have gotten much bigger in size and weight with on/off road capababilities that are just impressive.

This 2023 BMW F750 GS happens to weigh in at around 450 pounds, although with panniers, gear, and rider, it weighs in at 500 pounds! Now, that may seem like a heavy bike to some, but the lower center of gravity allows it to be an incredibly smooth handling “Adventure-Touring” motorcycle.

In the summer of 2024, after having lived in and RV for 4 years and being able to ride our motorcycles in 43 states, John and I made the decision to find a permanent address. We eventually found the perfect two motorcycles to fit our needs whilelliving in Central Oregon. Motorbikes that allow us to ride short and long distances with the option of loading up and riding many more miles to those destinations we have yet to visit. We invite you to stay with us as we continue to share our journey.

This BMW may not need a whole lot of upgrades but I am listing just a few below.

Be sure to check the link to our YouTube video: “New Motorcycle Day” at the bottom of the page.

The 2024 Honda Transalp Build:

After many years of riding around the U.S. and needing to “reset” our BMWs for oil changes and service needs, we finally the best investment when owning a BMW motorcycle. Having the HEX GS-911 has made changing our own oil and resetting the service light so much easier since we no longer need to find a dealer in whatever area we happen to be traveling in. Not only that, the diagnostic capabilities make this a must have when out riding.

The HEX ezCAN is an additional upgrade that makes adding the horn, auxiliary lights, and heated gear a real breeze. We continue to learn the capabilities of this product and will share those as we continue to find them.

Be sure to let Ted Porter at the BeemerShop know you found it here.

See our YouTube Install video for the HEX GS-911 at the bottom of this page. 👍

BMW Horn Upgrade:

I have definitely enjoyed a louder, better sounding horn on a couple of my BMWs. Try either the Sound Bomb or the Sound Bomb mini depending on just how loud (and safer) you want to be.

Tank Bag: SW Motech

John and I have been using the SW Motech tank bags and rear tail bags for many years. Their quality makes for a long lifespan and I think they look good. I especially like the the reliability of the tank ring rather than straps for other styles that may damage or rub my beautiful Triple Black paint. 😳

Be sure and check your fitment prior to purchase as these were the options that we used.

Magnetic Tank Ring for Your SW Motech Tank Bag:

I like having the magnetic tank ring with the ease of use and the reliability of connection. As John says… you can almost lift your bike up with this bag. 😂

Rear Brake Foot Enlarger for your BMW:

When applying the brake on my BMW, I found that I had to press just that much farther before the rear brake engaged, even after John making the adjustments on the stock brake lever.

By adding this brake extender it was a much more comfortable fit and response time when applying the brake. Let me know if you agree.

Add a Wind Deflector:

This was a lo cost option when I originally purchased my BMW. It clips on to your existing windscreen with a quick and easy fit. It helped keep that flow of wind off the top of my helmet. However, I did find that the visibility of looking through an “extra layer” of windscreen made me have to adjust my view more often while riding. I will leave the link here - if you are interested in a higher quality windscreen option I will leave the YouTube video that we made for National Cycle and the V-Stream Windscreen. Now that was an upgrade!

Let me know what you think.
